It is expected that during the six months of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU the processing will continue, presumably at first reading, of the proposal for the European Health Data Space Regulation. Among other aims, one of the effects of this project will be to promote personalised healthcare, through the provision of face-to-face and virtual services for patients, specifically adapted to their characteristics and health situation.

The conference will bring together a large number of high-level experts and stakeholders with different background and expertise, from different types of organisations and countries, including from outside Europe, to discuss challenges and opportunities in the field of genomic-based personalised medicine, as well as aspects not covered in research and funding.
