DESCRIPTION:The HaDEA hybrid event “Info-Day EU Funding Programmes for Health and Digital Transformation” will be organised by the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance\, the Greek National Documentation and Electronic Content Centre (EKT)\, the Greek Ministry of Health and the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) on Tuesday 14 May 2024 (09:00-17:30) at the premises of the Ministry of Digital Governance (11 Fragoudi Street and Al. Pantou\, Kallithea) with parallel digital transmission. \nAt the event\, HaDEA representatives will present the Digital Europe (DEP)\, Horizon Europe (HE) and Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) funding programmes. The National Contact Points will present the challenges usually faced in the context of Greek participation\, while participants will have the opportunity to put their questions directly to HaDEA representatives. SUMMARY:Roundtable on Secondary Use of Health Data for Research and Health-related Public Interest Purposes
DESCRIPTION:The OECD Roundtable will provide insights on how OECD Member countries and non-Members can better harness health data to enhance better healthcare\, while ensuring privacy and data protection\, in line with the OECD Recommendation on Health Data Governance. The Roundtable will bring together key stakeholders including policy makers\, experts from industry\, civil society\, patient associations\, regulators\, health providers\, and academia to deepen our collective understanding of the legal bases and approval processes that allow the secondary uses of health data in the public interest supported by data protection safeguards. \nThe roundtable will cover three main themes and will feed into a draft report on each of these themes: \n·       Legal bases for health data processing: consent and public interest; \n·       Building on commonalities\, differences and best practices to streamline health data collaboration project approvals; \n·       Fostering public trust in health data processing for research.

The event is organised by the Hungarian National Institute of Oncology and it aims to gather clinicians and institutional representatives from Hungary.  \nTopics addressed will be diverse\, from treatment of urological tumors in the 21st century\, to patient support programme/training or oncology care throug the eyes of the patient. \nBettina Futaki\, physiotherapist from the National Institute of Oncology will hold a presentation about the eCAN project and will talk about the role of telemedicine in physiotherapy and the importance of remote rehabilitation activities and practices in general.

SUMMARY:II. Kékgolyó Palliative Days Conference
DESCRIPTION:The conference entitled ’II. Kékgolyó Palliative Days Conference’ will take place in Budapest\, Hungary\, next May 31st. The event is organised by the Hungarian National Institute of Oncology and it aims to gather general prcticioners and experts in Oncology and Palliative Care. \nThe goal of this conference is to continue the dialogue between three main actors: those performing active oncology treatment\, family doctors and palliative specialists. These three groups aim to create optimal patient pathways and to pass on the basic knowledge of palliative care to doctors dealing with patients with advanced cancer. \nDuring the day\, several topics related to oncology will be addressed: structure and chances of the Hungarian hospice palliative care system\, pain relief\, symptomatic treatment\, end of life care and palliative sedation\, setting treatment goals\, social awareness and fundraising in hospice-palliative care.   \nDr. Orsolya Horváth\, medical doctor and eCAN PI from the Hungarian National Institute of Oncology will hold a presentation about the eCAN project and its activities.
