SUMMARY:World Health Day
DESCRIPTION:World Health Day is celebrated every year on 7 April to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948. Each year for this date\, a theme is chosen that highlights an area of priority concern for WHO. In the face of the current pandemic\, a polluted planet\, and an increasing incidence of diseases\, the theme for World Health Day is Our Planet\, Our Health. \nThis call from PAHO\, the WHO\, and partners\, presents a unique opportunity for a green and healthy recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic\, that puts the health of individuals and the planet at the center of actions and fosters a movement to create societies focused on well-being.

SUMMARY:eCAN Community Presentation & Patient/Healthcare Professionals Engagement Strategy Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)\, as WP8 member\, will present preliminary results from the Stakeholders Mapping survey to eCAN partners. WP8 has identified some strengths and barriers related to the formation of a sustainable and inclusive community of multiple stakeholders for the eCAN project. \nGuidance and further support will be provided to all the partners\, in order to maximise the impact of their local/national and external communities for the eCAN project and contribute to the extension of collaborations with stakeholders outside the consortium. \nAfter that presentation\, the Patient/Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) Engagement Strategy Workshop will follow as a dynamic dialogue with partners\, during which appropriate levels and mechanisms/tools towards the effective engagement and recruitment of patients and HCPs will be presented by AUTH lead partner. \nThe main goal of this workshop is to share practical strategies for coordinating and performing effective patient/HCPs recruitment and engagement\, based on Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) principles and previous experience in working in Research & Innovation initiatives with cancer patients and healthcare workforce. \nAt the end of the workshop\, all participants will have the opportunity to express their concerns regarding the effective engagement\, motivation to participate\, and any other concern that may arouse for the organization and implementation of activities with primary stakeholders (patients & HCPs).
