The conference entitled ’II. Kékgolyó Palliative Days Conference’ will take place in Budapest, Hungary, next May 31st. The event is organised by the Hungarian National Institute of Oncology and it aims to gather general prcticioners and experts in Oncology and Palliative Care.
The goal of this conference is to continue the dialogue between three main actors: those performing active oncology treatment, family doctors and palliative specialists. These three groups aim to create optimal patient pathways and to pass on the basic knowledge of palliative care to doctors dealing with patients with advanced cancer.
During the day, several topics related to oncology will be addressed: structure and chances of the Hungarian hospice palliative care system, pain relief, symptomatic treatment, end of life care and palliative sedation, setting treatment goals, social awareness and fundraising in hospice-palliative care.
Dr. Orsolya Horváth, medical doctor and eCAN PI from the Hungarian National Institute of Oncology will hold a presentation about the eCAN project and its activities.
